What is the legal limit?
In the UK, the legal limits for window tinting on front windscreens and front side windows are strictly regulated for safety. Specifically, the front windscreen must allow at least 75% of light to pass through, and the front side windows must allow at least 70% of light 1 through. Due to these legal requirements, we won't be able to apply tint to your front drop windows, as any additional tinting would likely cause them to fall below the legal light transmission limits. However, we can offer a range of tinting options for your rear windows, which are not subject to the same legal restrictions.
How do i look after my new tint?
Clean the tinted windows with a soft, microfiber cloth and a non-ammonia based cleaner to prevent scratching or discoloration. Refrain from using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the tint film. By following these simple guidelines, you'll ensure your tint remains looking its best, providing you with lasting benefits and a sleek finish for years to come.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, we offer a lifetime ownership guarantee. For the time that you own the car we will warranty the film against bubbling, fading and peeling.
What are the benefits?
Window tinting offers a range of practical and aesthetic benefits. Primarily, it significantly reduces glare, enhancing driving comfort and reducing eye strain. It also blocks harmful UV rays, protecting both your skin and your vehicle's interior from sun damage, preventing fading and cracking. Tinting provides increased privacy, deterring theft and creating a more comfortable cabin. Moreover, it regulates interior temperature, keeping your vehicle cooler in hot weather and warmer in cold, potentially improving fuel efficiency by reducing reliance on air conditioning. Finally, it adds a stylish, sophisticated look to your vehicle, enhancing its overall appearance.
How long does the tinting process take?
The time varies depending on the type of vehicle and number of windows, but typically it takes around 1.5-3hrs.
